and monitoring systems for ship crew and shore-side supervisors

TERASAKI TRAINING CENTER

TERASAKI TRAINING CENTER

Train on the same medium/low voltage distribution, control
and monitoring systems found onboard ships

Training programs are conducted at the training center of parent company Terasaki Electric Co., Ltd., where the medium/low voltage distribution simulator, protective relay simulator and central monitoring simulator expose trainees to a similar environment they can expect to find onboard ships. The training curriculum for medium voltage distribution and control systems features fully STCW-compliant Management Level and Operational Level courses with training equipment, textbooks and instructors certified by third-party organization Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NKK). Upon completion, trainees are issued a diploma endorsed by the NKK.
* In addition to the STCW-compliant courses, Teratec offers a “Mechanics Course” for training in troubleshooting and parts replacement for critical equipment and systems, a “Basic Course” in electricity for new crew members and shore-side operators who are unfamiliar with electrical equipment, and “Onboard Training” imparted aboard ship on the actual equipment. * Training content and plans can be arranged to meet customer needs. * Training is open not only to crew and shore-side operators but also shipyard workers and persons attending maritime school.

Training in marine and industrial electrical equipment
and systems at Teratec

Besides using the Terasaki Electric Training Center, we have our own training facilities at Teratec where we develop and hone the skills of technicians engaged in field service for the Terasaki Group and provide training opportunities to those wanting to acquire a higher level of engineering skill and knowledge. Trainees learn how to service and maintain medium voltage distribution panels and other equipment by studying past cases of troubleshooting.
